Special Events and Services

WOMEN’S RESOURCE FAIR

Each year SDVLP, with the sponsorship of Lawyers Club of San Diego and the San Diego County Bar Foundation, holds an annual one-day community event which assists women in need, as well as their children.  They have access to a variety of services including medical and mental health case, legal assistance, employment training and information, and public benefits.  Outreach is conducted at shelters and clinics throughout the San Diego County region.

VETERANS STAND DOWN

SDVLP assists in the organization and operation of the civil legal component for Operation Stand Down, sponsored by the federal Office of Veterans Affairs.  Shelter, food and clothing are provided at the annual event where veterans are also afforded access to a wide range of services including physical and mental healthcare, assistance with benefit issues, information on training and employment opportunities, and help in resolving civil and criminal legal matters.
