FINANCIAL ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

If you receive financial assistance under one or more of the following programs, you meet the income eligibility criteria for SDVLP's free legal services:

  • CAL-WORKS (TANF) Program
  • Supplemental Security Income (SSI) or State Supplemental Payments Program (SSP)
  • Food Stamps Program
  • County Relief, General Relief (G.R.) or General Assistance (G.A.) Program
  • Older Americans Act (age 60 or older)
  • Developmentally Disabled Assistance Act

OR: If your household income is at or below established income guidelines as determined by either the California Department of Housing & Community Development, or the US Department of Health & Human Services you are eligible.

VERIFICATION OF YOUR FINANCIAL
ELIGIBILITY IS REQUIRED

***Domestic Violence victims are NOT subject to these financial eligibility requirements at the court-based domestic violence clinics.

If you do not qualify to receive free legal services from SDVLP, you may wish to contact one of the following lawyer referral services for a free consultation with an attorney, who will charge an agreed-upon fee if you decide to hire him or her.
